Embedding Guide

Last updated August 2026

WATCHPEOPLEFIGHT fully supports the oEmbed standard, so you can embed any watch page in your site, app, or CMS and get back a ready to paste embeddable player. This page covers the oEmbed endpoint, the embed codes, and the discovery links that make pasting a URL just work.

How oEmbed works on this site

Every watch page (a URL of the form https://watchpeoplefight.com/watch/<id>) advertises its own oEmbed discovery link in the page head:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/json+oembed"
      href="/api/oembed?url=<encoded watch url>&format=json">

The oEmbed endpoint

You can call the endpoint directly. Pass the full watch URL, encoded, plus format=json:

GET https://watchpeoplefight.com/api/oembed?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwatchpeoplefight.com%2Fwatch%2Fwsh-234028&format=json

The response is a spec shaped video oEmbed: type: video, version: 1.0, provider_name: WATCHPEOPLEFIGHT, plus title, html, width, height, and thumbnail_url. The html field is a self hosted ?embed=1 iframe.

Manual embed code

No third party scripts and no cookies. Just a plain iframe you can paste anywhere:

<iframe
  src="https://watchpeoplefight.com/watch/wsh-234028?embed=1"
  width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen
  title="Watch this fight on WATCHPEOPLEFIGHT"></iframe>

Package or CMS users

Apps and libraries that consume the canonical oEmbed providers list can read our registry entry at https://watchpeoplefight.com/oembed-providers.json. A one hop health and self test probe is available at /api/oembed/health.

Tip: WordPress, Ghost, Notion, Slack, and Drupal will usually embed a watch URL automatically just by pasting it, because the video page advertises discovery. If a specific platform does not pick it up, use the manual iframe code above.
